Appeal a charge notice

Appeals Process

If Smart City Parking has immobilised your vehicle and you have paid a Vehicle Release Fee (VRF) and you wish to appeal, then you have the right to make a representation against the VRF.

Our internal appeals team will carefully review the case, considering all challenges and evidence before reaching a decision within 14 days.

If you do not receive a response in that time, please phone 0303961522 to ascertain appeal status. It is not to be assumed that an appeal is successful if no response is received. Appeals will not be accepted after 28 days of the immobilisation.

Should you disagree with a rejection of your appeal, you will be able to write to non-for-profit regulatory body, the United Traffic and Parking Association (U.T.P.A), who will offer an independent appeals service to further adjudicate on your appeal.

The Enquiry Line: 0303961522

Smart City Parking provides a general enquiry line for the public to call for advice regarding parking charges and other matters. Whilst we don’t take appeals over the phone, we are able to offer advice on the steps of appeal for drivers and vehicle keepers.

Accreditation

As responsible operators in the parking management sector, we adhere to the UTPA code of practice when dealing with both our clients and members of the public. This ensures a professional and ethical provision of any Smart City Parking services.
